The publishing house was founded in Athens in 1985 by Spiros Koukidis, German teacher and author.

We have been dedicated to the production of teaching materials for German as a Foreign Language from the very beginning.

From teachers

Our many years of teaching and publishing experience in the field of German as a Foreign Language have given us a deep understanding of the market and the needs of both learners and teachers.

Our goal is to satisfy these needs with learner-friendly, innovative teaching materials written by a team of experienced and fully active German teachers.

Focused

Our focus is on teaching and deepening language skills as well as preparing for the various exams from A1 to C2 level. Parallel to this, we offer various course-accompanying teaching materials.

The ideas for most of our projects are born, developed and tested in the language center “Germanika Koukidis”, an institution dedicated to teaching German since 1979, as well as in several private schools with which we closely cooperate.

YouTube channel

Since late 2019 we have started our own channel on YouTube, providing teachers and learners with helpful videos about German: instructional tutorials about various language exams, book presentations, mock oral exams, all audio files that accompany our teaching materials, supplementary material for the lesson, learning videos about grammar and vocabulary etc. – plus some sneak peeks into our everyday life in the publishing house.
